On 12 June during the ACCA Members’ Networking Event three outstanding finance professionals, managers and leaders received the ACCA Poland Member Engagement Awards 2019.
The awards' objective is to commemmorate those members who go well above and beyond their obligation to the ACCA community and engage themselves in three categories of activity critical to the development of the organisation:
- Member Advocacy - building brand relevance and awareness among students, both at University level as well as among enrolled ACCA students,
- Member Development - helping other ACCA members develop relevant finance skills by sharing knowledge in a structured form (workshops etc.),
- Member Ambassadorship - promoting employees' career and business and finance skills development within own company through the ACCA Qualification.
ACCA Poland and Baltic Countries office has decided that in 2019 the following members are awarded for their outstanding performance:

Grzegorz has been actively engaged in creating the ACCA Academic cooperation framework as well as bringing it to life by participating in numerous workshops and presentations at various Universities and meetings with ACCA students, such as Future CFO conferences and Students’ Networking Events. He lived by the principle that “you practice what you preach”, creating an environment for career development within his company not only by actively promoting the ACCA qualification among his employees and abroad, but also by being a mentor to his subordinates that helps them unlock their potential.

Over past couple of years Jarosław has run a number of free CPD workshops across Poland (Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław and Poznań) sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience on technical subjects with hundreds of ACCA members and always garnering outstanding marks from participants. Undoubtedly he is one of the leading Polish experts on International Financial Reporting Standards. He is also a vocal advocate of ACCA within the academic circles, which he demonstrated by engaging in ACCA-related university activities such as Accountancy Faculties’ Annual Symposium.

Over the last two years Eglė has been leading by example having successfully incorporated ACCA into individual development plans of dozens of employees. Not only has she been actively promoting ACCA in her company, within the Lithuanian Shared Service Centre sector and abroad, but her insights and feedback have been instrumental in further development of the ACCA GBS qualifications that are tailored to fit the requirements of Shared Service Centres worldwide and allow them to develop business-ready finance professionals.
